SILENCE! The Musical has been a cult hit on-line for years, and was the hottest ticket at the 2005 New York Fringe Festival, shattering box office records and taking the coveted “Outstanding Musical” Award.
Now in a dark theatre hidden away in the cellars under a London pub, this cult musical will see its European premiere under the direction of David Phipps-Davis, alongside musical director Andre Refig and assistant Zoe Humphries.
A hilarious send-up of the Oscar-winning psychololgical thriller The Silence of the Lambs, the show follows rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling (Charlie Cable) in her first real assignment during the hunt for notorious serial killer Buffalo Bill (Connor Brown). To crack the case she must seek the insight of the brilliant but insane psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter (Tom Murphy), himself an imprisoned, cannibalistic killer. But she is soon trapped in a dangerous game of quid pro quo while the killings and abductions continue ...
SILENCE! The Musical ran at the Barons Court Theatre from Tuesday 20th – Saturday 31st October 2009 for twelve performances (nightly at 7.30pm Tuesday to Saturday with Saturday matinees at 3.00pm).
