How to Join
Are you looking to join a vibrant musical theatre group in London? It's easy to join Imperial Productions as a performer ... just turn up and audition for one of our shows! You don't need to be an exisiting member to audition, and we never charge an audition fee. If you are cast in a show, we ask a modest fee to help offset production expenses, that's all.
The easiest way to find out about forthcoming auditions is to subscribe to our mailing list. We'll announce any auditions in our monthly newsletter. For answers to commonly asked questions, see our FAQs.
You can become a full member even if you're not currently performing in productions with us. Membership costs £15, payable by standing order every January. This entitles you to vote at the AGM and stand for election to committee positions. If you decide to perform in a show after paying this, you'll get an equivalent discount from the show fee for your first show in that year!
We've recently introduced a new constitution, which all full members should read. You can download the constitution here.
You're more of a musician? Then we could really need you. If you play an instrument and would like to be in the band for one of our shows, please don't hesitate to send us an e-mail. Since different instruments tend to be in demand for different productions, we'll add you to our books and contact you if we think you'll be interested in any particular projects.
If you'd rather help behind the scenes then we'd love to hear from you, too. We're always on the look out for people to crew our shows: Stage crew, fitup crew, lighting and sound crew are all welcome. If you've got more experience, why not design one of our shows? Whether it's lighting, sound or even costumes, contact us for more information.
If you'd like to get more involved, we are looking to co-opt a new member onto the committe to lead our Sponsorship and Fundraising. Could you assist us in seeking sponsorship and other external funding for future shows? We've looked at fundraising and sponsorship possibilities in the past, but what we really need is someone to fill this dedicated role ... it would help us enormously to have someone with experience and enthusiasm for fundraising!
